Privacy policy

The data controller is the operator of Aloha Home, a holiday home located in Los Abrigos (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain).

For any request regarding your personal data you can write to info [at] alohahome.es. The controller’s full identification details (company name, address and VAT number) will be provided in the final version.

We process the data you provide directly and the data collected automatically while you browse:

• Contact and booking data: first name, surname, email, phone number, stay dates and number of guests, processed through the Smoobu booking platform.
• Payment data: handled by the payment systems integrated into Smoobu; we do not store full card details.
• Communication data: the content of the messages you send us by email, contact form or WhatsApp.
• Browsing data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookie Policy).

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

• To manage availability requests, bookings and the stay.
• To answer your questions and provide you with assistance.
• To fulfil contractual, tax and legal obligations, including reporting guest details to the competent authorities where required.
• To measure site usage in aggregate form and improve its content, subject to consent to analytics cookies.

• Performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) for managing the booking.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR) for tax and public-security requirements.
• Consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) for analytics cookies and any optional communications.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) for site security and service improvement.

To deliver the service we rely on providers acting as data processors:

• Smoobu GmbH — booking, calendar and payment management system.
• Google (Google Tag Manager and analytics tools) — aggregate site-usage statistics, activated only with prior consent.
• Website hosting provider — technical data storage.

These providers process the data in accordance with their own privacy notices and the safeguards required by the GDPR.

We keep personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above and within the time limits imposed by law: booking and billing data for the period required by tax obligations, and contact data until your request has been dealt with. Browsing data is retained for the durations indicated in the Cookie Policy.

Data may be disclosed to public authorities where required by law and to the providers listed above. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area: in such cases the transfer takes place on the basis of adequate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data to third parties.

As a data subject you may exercise at any time the rights provided for by Articles 15-22 of the GDPR:

• Access to your personal data.
• Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure (right to be forgotten).
• Restriction of processing.
• Data portability.
• Objection to processing.
• Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority; in Spain this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
